Picture Frame or Mirror

Start with a few scrap pieces of laminate flooring and cut off the “tongue” edge of the tongue and groove. With a mitre box, cut the angles in four pieces, groove side in, to make a frame in whatever size you want. Glue the edges together, and you’ve got a frame strong enough for a piece of glass or a mirror. Finish the project with a piece of scrap wood glued to the back to keep everything in its place. Add a hanging bracket, and you’re done!

Start by painting or staining the table legs and sides with a contrasting colour, like black or white. Lay down your laminate flooring on the surface of the table to establish a pattern and link the scraps together with the tongue and groove.
